BJC 2021 Day TWO

Another busy day in Birmingham, with the quarter and semi-finalists decided in most categories.

The top two seeds progressed as far as they could in their events, with top seeds Sam Todd and Torrie Malik on course to add the U19 titles to their already impressive collections.

The U19 semis will both feature the top four seeds, but in the B17 Kyle Penman came from a game down to upset 3/4 seed Caleb Boy.

The G17, G15 and G13 events all saw the top four seeds safely through to tomorrow’s quarters, but theB15 and B13 events both saw 3/4 seeds depart. In the 15s Ismail Khalil edged past Jude Gibbins 15-13 in the fifth, while Luke McBride and Gabriel Chat created the U13 upsets.

Tomorrow’s matches, including the start of the U11 events, are split across the two venues with all finals at EPC on Sunday
